Smoking Triggers Planning
Now it's time to do some smoking triggers planning. This is where you will get specific about what coping methods you will use for your triggers. This is the "meat" of your quitting plan so don't just breeze through this section without some serious thought.
Use the
Smoking Triggers sheet
and
Coping Methods sheet
that you've already filled out. Add more ideas if they come to mind. Finally, rate the level of difficulty for each trigger on a scale of 1-10, 10 being very difficult. This will help you in deciding what and how many coping methods you might need.
Example Trigger: Driving in the car Level of Difficulty: 8 Coping Methods: Keep gum in the car to chew; Do deep breathing exercises.
